My name is Tia Leonard. I am from the Tacoma, Washington area. My journey with photography began in Cannon Beach in 2000. I bought my first 'real' camera (a 35mm film camera) with graduation money. I attended Ecola Bible School there from 2000-2001 and the coast being so beautiful...my passion for photography began.

I returned home and took 2 semesters of photography classes from Pierce Community College. There I got to do B&W and darkroom developing. In 2002 I attended Youth With A Missions (YWAM's) University of the Nations School of Photography 1. I got to try out color slides and more darkroom work, plus digital and Photoshop. After that school I bought my first Digital SLR Camera, a Canon 10D.

I have also entered several photography competitions, and have had several pictures accepted at the International Photography Exhibition. In 2002, I had 2 photos accepted, one of which won a Judges Choice award. In 2004 I attended the School of Photography II with YWAM, which was an all digital school.

From 2001-2008 I have worked for Kits Camera's in between and during school. It fed my passion of photography by being able to print my pictures there. I loved my time there being able to work as the District Photo Instructor/Trainer. I taught 8 different classes from basic to advanced. I love teaching and can do personal one on one training with you on your specific camera.

I had my pictures displayed and sold at the George Vetter Gallery in Cannon Beach for the summer of 2006. I now shoot mainly with my Canon full-frame 5D, 12megapixel Digital SLR camera with my 10D as a back up and I now shoot all digital.

I am currently a featured artist at Northern Pacific Coffee Company where a selection of my work is on display for sale. NPCC is located in Parkland, WA one block from Pacific Lutheran University on Garfield and C Street.

I am really enjoy Senior Portraits, Family Portraits and Children's Portraits. I am a professional wedding photographer and have a portfolio and price list for weddings.

My angle of photography, or the genre that I am known for are landscapes. I love the outdoors, hiking, climbing, sunsets, etc. I have also been able to travel quite a bit with missions work and have pictures from France, Italy, Tahiti, Africa and several other countries. Most of my current work right now is local from my home; Tacoma - Mt. Rainier areas and my previous home in Cannon Beach. My goal with photography is to bring glory to God. Thanks for coming by!
